Proposals are needed for the the Buffalo Bayou Art Park Christmas Tree Show.

The Buffalo Bayou ArtPark and the Wortham Theater will host the 2008 BBAP XMAS TREE SHOW from Thanksgiving 2008 to New Years Day 2009. Everyone is eligible and encouraged to send a proposal to the BBAP board.

The brand spanking new park Discovery Green located downtown will debut its first temporary art installation on Saturday. The Landprint project at Kitchen Budapest utilizes robotic lawmowers to “print” images in fields. The hope to utilize the natural colors present in various plants and creative cutting by the robotized mowers to render the images.

Barcelona sculptor Tanya Sierra has been “losing” sculptures around Barcelona this year. She places one sculpture each month in an undisclosed location around town and waits for someone to find it and take the sculpture home. Each sculpture has a url inscribed on it for those who found the piece to contact her.
